Between mid-2025 and December 9, 2025, the department's internal Blueprint drafting, review, and approval activity necessarily operated to produce the Canadian G7 deliverable. That activity is not directly documented in the released records.

On December 24, 2025, a request was filed under the Privacy Act. On January 2, 2026, the requester was instructed to abandon and resubmit under the Access to Information Act. The file was refiled on January 3, 2026 as A-2025-01446. Between January 6 and January 28, 2026, the department applied a sequence of procedural holds, volume-narrowing pressure, and a Director-level narrowing proposal, all of which the requester declined.

On February 17, 2026, the requester filed an amendment expanding scope to cover Blueprint development records, the case-study report, and additional related categories. The amendment was administratively opened as a new access-to-information file, A-2025-01562. The same day, a 51-page interim release was issued on the original A-2025-01446 file. On February 23, 2026, a 35-page supplementary release was issued on A-2025-01446, following what the department characterized as "another search expanding the scope of the request." No interim release has been issued on A-2025-01562.
